IYCS Africa organized a Sub-regional training session in Nairobi, Kenya attended by 28 Eastern African National Leaders from Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda. 12 Males and 10 Females 2 Animators and 4 Chaplains participated in the Sub regional training session with the theme:
“Peace building and Conflict Resolution for Sustainable Development: Students in Africa taking Action”
from 3rd – 9th June 2017. The training session aimed at bringing a collective and effective response as well as to gain the commitment of YCS members within the region in Peace building and Conflict transformation towards the search for lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
The process of review of life through the See – Judge – Act or Action – Reflection – Action was the main methodology used throughout the training.
The main activity of the session was the training of trainers on the application of the PSCAT Student Version. During the training, the participants committed to share and apply the tool in their daily lives, schools and communities.
